Product
What it does, and how it’s different.
Carfax and AutoCheck surface vehicle history: past accidents, service records, title status. FixPilot analyzes the listing itself: the photos the seller just uploaded, the seller’s notes, and the VIN-decoded trim. We combine that with your rooftop’s recon rates and live market comps to produce a not-to-exceed price. They’re complementary, and most customers pipe Carfax data into FixPilot.
Fully supported: Manheim, Copart, ACV Auctions, IAA, ADESA, and Carvana. Partial support (VIN + photos, no auction-specific fields): Craigslist, eBay Motors, Facebook Marketplace, AutoTrader, and Cars.com. We add new sources roughly every quarter, so tell us what you need.
Across 14,200 vehicles graded and then actually purchased and reconditioned, 83% of our estimates landed within ±$250 of the actual recon cost. Accuracy climbs quickly as we learn your shop’s rates and parts vendors, usually within 2–3 weeks of rollout.
From the listing: every photo, the VIN, seller notes, mileage, and auction-specific fields (run condition, sale type, announcements). From you: per-rooftop labor rates, a parts cost sheet, transport lane rates, and margin floors. From the market: live wholesale (Manheim MMR, Black Book) and live retail comps (AutoTrader, Cars.com, CarGurus sold-listings).
Pricing & contracts
Plans, trials, and how much commitment.
Yes, 14 days, full product. It rolls into a paid plan when the trial ends unless you cancel first, and we email you a few days before so nothing bills by surprise. For dealer groups, we usually suggest a 10-day pilot instead: one rooftop, two buyers, side-by-side with your current process.
Everything in your tier: batch analysis, ranked reports, all supported auction sources, AI risk flags, and DMS push on the higher plans. What scales between plans is your monthly VIN volume, team seats, and support level. No hidden per-VIN credits beyond your plan’s allowance.
Yes, annual billing is two months cheaper than paying monthly. Multi-year (2 or 3 year) agreements are available for group-tier customers, typically at a 20–25% discount.
Scout and Buyer are month-to-month, cancel anytime. Fleet is monthly or annual. Group agreements are typically annual with a 60-day out clause. We’ve never held anyone to a contract they wanted out of.
Rollout & integration
Getting live and into your stack.
Solo plans: same day. Active plans: 3–5 business days to configure your recon rates and margin bars. Group: a 2-week discovery, a 10-day pilot at one rooftop, then about one rooftop per week. Most multi-rooftop groups are fully live in 6–8 weeks.
Yes. CDK Global, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack DMS, Auto/Mate, and DealerSocket are all supported. Appraisals push as a vehicle record with all attached photos, the recon estimate, and the not-to-exceed price. Custom integrations are available on the group tier.
Your buyers. There’s no admin console they need to log into; FixPilot is a browser extension that rides along on the sites they already use. Your ops team configures recon rates and margin bars once a quarter.
